Monday 14 April 2003

John 9:35, 37
“Do you believe in the Son of Man? You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.”

Since February 2001 we have for the most part been working our way through the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John taking only the words of Christ as recorded in those Gospels.

"You never exhaust Christ's words. They pass into proverbs, they are enacted into laws, they are consolidated into doctrines, they become consolation for the poor and weary, they grow into the life and transform the character; but they never pass away, and after all the use made of them, they are still as fresh as when first spoken."

Pray that they will grow into our lives and transform our characters. Memorise them, meditate on them. They are food for our souls.

John 10:1-3
“I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice. I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.”
