James Douglas QC was admitted to practise as a barrister in 1973. After postgraduate study and work in England he commenced practice in 1977 and became a QC in 1989. He is President of the Bar Association of Queensland. He has been a member of CASACs Legal Committee, Chairman of the Queensland Theatre Company and Chairman of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra Advisory Board.
